Spinal Flow is based on the scientific fact that your nervous system controls the function of every cell, tissue, organ, and system in your body. Your nervous system includes your brain, spinal cord, and millions of nerves. While your brain is protected by the skull, your spinal cord is safeguarded by the 24 movable bones of your spine. Everyday activities can cause these spinal bones to shift out of their normal position or lose their proper motion. This can disrupt the nervous system, leading to dysfunction and ultimately affecting your overall health. The Spinal Flow approach focuses on detecting, reducing, and preventing nervous system blockages to create more ease and balance in your body.
Spinal Flow sessions are gentle and completely safe. Everything is done while you remain fully clothed, so please wear loose, comfortable clothes. We recommend avoiding jeans or bulky sweaters.
Arrive on Time: Please be mindful of your appointment time. Late arrivals mean missing out on valuable session time. Eat Well: Focus on fresh, pure, and varied foods that provide your body with the nutrients it needs to heal. We recommend eating organic foods when possible. To support your health, minimize gluten and dairy intake, as they can be harder to digest. A diet rich in fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and good proteins is ideal. We also suggest taking whole food supplements, such as daily vitamins (fruit), minerals (vegetables), antioxidants (berries), omegas (brain and spinal health), and probiotics (gut health).
Rest: Healing takes time. Be gentle with your body and avoid activities that may feel stressful or uncomfortable. Take care when lifting (bend your knees, not your back) and reduce twisting your spine. It’s important to sleep on your side or back. Using a contoured pillow is essential for maintaining the natural curve of your neck.
Move: Move as much as you can without causing distress to your body. Movement helps muscles, ligaments, bones, and joints heal faster and more fully. We may suggest specific exercises or movements that could support your healing process. Remember, we’re not designed to sit all day. If you work at a computer, make a habit of stretching every 10 minutes.
Learn: The more you understand your body and the healing process, the faster and more effectively you will improve. Those who are well-informed tend to achieve greater long-term benefits.
It’s normal to feel a range of responses after your first session. You may feel great, sore, or have no immediate change at all. Remember, healing is a process—just like braces don’t straighten teeth overnight, lasting changes take time. Stick with it and know that each step brings you closer to better health. Drink plenty of water in the next 5 hours. Spinal Flow sessions release toxins in your body, and water helps flush them out. If you don’t drink enough water, you might feel queasy. Take a 5-minute walk after your session. Lying on blocks to balance your sacrum requires your body to adjust, and walking helps with this process. Avoid toxins such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs, and caffeine as much as possible.
Spinal Flow results can vary. Some clients experience immediate relief, while others may take several months to see noticeable changes. Children often respond more quickly, while adults with chronic spinal issues may heal at a slower pace. Healing takes time, and every individual’s journey is different.
Healing sessions are recommended in 12 session increments-
There are three stages of Spinal Flow care. Once you understand the benefits of true health, you may choose to continue with regular Spinal Flow sessions, much like you would maintain other healthy habits such as brushing your teeth or eating nutritious foods. Ultimately, how long you decide to benefit from Spinal Flow is up to you.
Initial Intensive Care-Most people begin their Spinal Flow care here. Visits may be frequent depending on the severity of your condition. The main goal at this stage is to reduce or eliminate the most obvious symptoms.
Corrective Care-Once your pain or discomfort subsides, the focus shifts to stabilizing spinal function and supporting more complete healing.
Wellness Care-After the maximum restoration of spinal function, many clients continue with regular Spinal Flow care to maintain balance and prevent minor issues from becoming more serious. This type of care can save time and money in the long run.
